Having recently completed a major partnership deal with Geek Fam, which saw the team rebranded to Geek Slate, Slate Esports have continued to build their connections within the gaming market of Southeast Asia by joining forces with RSG Malaysia. While the connection with the now ex-Geek Fam will see Slate re-enter the Indonesia Mobile Legends: Bang Bang market, they venture into new territory with RSG MY – which will now be named RSG Slate MY.

For those who may not know, Slate Esports is the brainchild of Ivan Yeo, who founded the Web3 media startup, Avium, which is where the esports company evolved from. This was not Yeo’s first foray into the esports market, having previously been the CEO of EVOS Esports, one of the most well-known organisations within the SEA esports scene. This collaboration aims to push the teams involved to peaks, across multiple games and regions.

With that said, RSG Slate Malaysia have yet to confirm their roster for the upcoming Mobile Legends Professional League Season 11 in Malaysia, but it seems likely that following this announcement, the roster lock is just over the horizon. It will be interesting to see just what Slate Esports can bring to RSG MY as the partnership hopes to bring the team back to the top f their region.

Belandrial has spent most of his years following Dota 2 closely, but now has found a new home in the complex world of Mobile Esports. When not watching nearly every possible esports title available, you can find me running around Azeroth or building strange bases in Valheim.
