Starfield: Premium vs Standard - Editions comparison

Starfield: Premium vs Standard – Editions comparison

Bethesda is set to bring out their contribution to the lineup for game of the year with Starfield. The triple-A title is hoping to change the face of space exploration RPG’s forever, with a thousand planets to explore and a single-player campaign that will have fans hooked. However, whether or not they live up to their claims is yet to be seen. Starfield, as many productions often are, is available in a number of editions, ranging from the paltry Standard edition of Starfield all the way up to the staggeringly expensive Constellation edition. A quick comparison of the different Startfield editions will help you decide whether they’re really worth the money.

Starfield Standard Edition + Pre-order $69.99 / £69.99

You get the game, and that’s pretty much all you can expect. However, if you want also to make the gamble and pre-order from the company that brought us Fallout 76, then you get a few extra bonuses. Pre-orders of the Starfield standard edition will also get you a Laser Cutter, Deep Mining Helmet, and a Deep Mining Pack to be used in the game.

The day-one release will be available to play on Game Pass.

Starfield Digital Premium Edition $99.99 / £99.99

As a purely digital edition, you can’t expect any physical extras for your $20 more. With this edition of Starfield, you will receive the Shattered Space Story Expansion (upon release), a Constellation Skin Pack containing the Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, Helmet, and Boost Pack, and finally, access to Starfield Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack.

With the Starfield digital premium edition, you also will receive 5 days of early access to the game. You can be the test run for the ones who want to wait.

Premium Edition Upgrades $34.99 / £34.99 (Physical + Digital)

First, bear in mind you do not get the base game with this upgrade. This extra cash goes on top of your already purchased standard edition of Starfield. You’re looking at a solid $105 dollars to get the Premium Edition upgrades of Starfield.

For the digital edition of the game, you receive absolutely nothing more than you would get with the premium edition. However, if you get the physical edition, you also get your hands on an official Steelbook case and a patch.

Constellation Edition $299.99 / £249.99

Next, for any superfan out there, you can get your hands on the Constellation Edition for the price of one large Starbucks coffee. The pack contains all the merch you would hope to see from a Bethesda game, including all the wearables you could want. In this Starfield edition, you get everything from the physical premium editions, including the game.

However, you also receive a neat-looking Starfield Chronomark Watch and case. The watch has all that great NASA styling that the game just drips with. The build looks to be really quite sturdy too. Finally, the digital game download for Starfield is laser etched into a credit chip from the game. This is a nice little touch that makes the edition a little more special.
