How to get shielded cargo in Starfield

As soon as your adventure begins, the easiest and fastest way to obtain a Starfield shielded cargo is to go with your ship to the Porrima Star System. At this point, select Porrima III, and once you arrive at your destination head towards the Red Mile, a gambling establishment. Perfect, you’ve come to the right place, now what? Don’t worry, we will explain step by step what you will have to do to obtain the shielded cargo.

As soon as you enter the Red Mile, immediately head to the office located on the right side at the back and talk to a character called Lon Anderson. Once you get to know each other and leave the pleasantries aside, select the “I’d like to view and modify my ships” dialogue option to enter ship-building mode. Lon, in fact, is a merchant who sells many ship parts, some of which are essential to hide your cargo from the guards’ scanners.

At this point, what you will have to do is scroll until you get to the “Cargo” section. Here you can find many objects that the NPC has for sale, some of which are very interesting, so we recommend you take a look at them before leaving, you might find something else useful besides the shielded cargo. Anyway, what you are looking for to secure your cargo is called “Shield Cargo Hold”. There are several that vary based on capacity and price, so the most suitable one for you depends on how large your load is and what your economic availability is.

Once you have found the one that suits your needs, both loading and economical, buy it and set it down beside your ship. At this point, remove the one you currently have and replace it with the one you just bought. The important thing to remember is, however, that any of the shielded cargoes you choose will give you the chance to go unnoticed, just pay attention to the name of the cargo while you are purchasing it and make sure it has the word “shielded” in it. At this point, you are ready to acquire all the contraband you want and go unnoticed by police scanners.
