Undefeated ONIC Esport reigns Week 2 of MPL Indonesia S13 | GosuGamers

It felt like a deja vu every season; ONIC Esports was still undefeated series-wise in MPL Indonesia S13.

Moving into week 2, ONIC Esports was still the reigning, defending, and undefeated in the league. They were still the best team in the week, with two wins. The yellow hedgehog army won against RRQ Hoshi and Alter Ego with 2-0 and 2-1 wins, respectively.

It felt like the same thing happened to ONIC Esports and MPL Indonesia every season as they cruised through a should-be somewhat challenging week into a couple of wins.

The only game that week where ONIC could be beaten was the first game between Alter Ego and ONIC Esports. In that game, the Odette surprise pick from Alter Ego neutralised ONIC’s Cici quickly.

However, that was as far as ONIC’s struggle went. The situation reverted to normalcy as Kiboy and friends took down Alter Ego in the next two games. Both sides let Arlott open before ONIC Esports capitalised and swept the series away.

On the other side of the leaderboard, EVOS Glory was at the bottom of the league and still couldn’t catch a break. They played twice in the second week of MPL ID Season 13 and lost both series.

The M1 World Champion got 2-0’d by the Yawi-led AURA Fire on the first day of the week and lost to fellow bottom-dwellers Geek Fam 1-2 the next day.

The only positive thing that could be taken from the series for EVOS Glory was that they finally won a game. The situation wasn’t the best in any shape or form for EVOS Glory and might be the point where change is needed.

In other news, Dewa United Esports finally met their match when they faced Bigetron Esports in the league. The boys in red proved to be a strong opponent with their current form in the league. Emman and the boys were second in the league with three wins and one loss against Alter Ego.

At this rate, the question was not who could take down ONIC Esports in the league but how many games they would drop before going 16-0.
