Vergeway Walkthrough Chapter 7

Vergeway Walkthrough Chapter 7

Another Vergeway Chapter walkthrough. Don’t forget that these strategies are highly dependent on your card levels. If your card levels are too low, you need to open daily chests and get some duplicates…

Or try with other cards and strategies. I’m just writing what works the best with sufficient card levels (around Level 6 on average) …

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 1

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 24,000 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Stallion Squad, Cannoneer Squad, Ice Tower, Snow Tower, Berserker
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Lightning Tower, Magma Tower, Catapult Squad, Cyclone, Bugsy, Indigo

This stage is fairly straightforward. Stronghold health has become a bit too much for Missiles to handle, but there’s always a way.

Use a Monolith Tower backed by three Magma and Lightning Towers each to defend your Stronghold against enemies, replenishing the Monolith as needed.

Cast Cyclone on enemy towers to destroy them. This shouldn’t take too long if you have a decent aim.

You can comfortably defend and bide your time until there’s a minute left. Deploy Indigo, Bugsy, and Catapult Squads to destroy the enemy Stronghold. Catapults should survive any incoming enemy units, and Indigo’s skill kills them. If you want to be sure, place a Lightning Tower nearby when possible.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 2

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 250 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Crossbow Tower, Cavalry Squad, Lizard Squad, Stallion Squad, Chaos Dragon
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Magma Tower, Lightning Tower, Catapult Squad, Trebuchet Squad, Cyclone

For this one, there’s very little need to worry.

As far as defending is concerned, one Monolith Tower with two Lightning Towers and four Magma Towers in the back will work. Magma towers are slightly better due to how many enemies there are.

Note that the Chaos Dragon will destroy the tower behind the Monolith, so replace it when needed and the Monolith if it gets destroyed.

Use Cyclones to destroy enemy towers, a group of two to three at a time. Start from the back of the enemy region and move forward. You can start using Cyclones as early as placing the first few towers down.

With two solitary towers left, you should have enough time and Aether to Cyclone them. Alternatively, use Catapult and Trebuchet Squads to destroy them for the win.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 3

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 25,000 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Lightning Tower, Hammer Squad, Stallion Squad, Blake, Jade Wyrm
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Magma Tower, Lightning Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Starfall, Cyclone, Bugsy, Indigo

The enemy comes with a trick up its sleeve at the end, but it won’t matter much.

For defense, a Monolith Tower backed by three Magma Towers and three Lightning Towers will do.

Keep an eye on the Jade Wyrm. When he starts to spin in the air, he will use his skill, which damages all nearby towers. Use Starfall on it when he starts spinning to stop the ability, or you’ll need to replace the lost towers.

Use Cyclone to clear away the towers. It should be easy to get all of them with eight Cyclones.

When the last towers are destroyed, your summoning region expands close to the enemy Stronghold, and four more towers appear to defend it.

Place a Monolith Tower as close to the enemy Stronghold as possible, then deploy Bugsy, Indigo, and a few Trebuchet Squads. They should be able to hold their own against incoming enemies and towers, then push for the win.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 4

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 245 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Magma Tower, Crossbow Squad, Sword Squad, Dragon Squad, Blackwing
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Magma Tower, Lightning Tower, Arrow Rain, Starfall, Cyclone

All things considered, this one’s fairly easy if you have some basic timing skills and how to aim.

For defense, it’s the same old deal – one Monolith Tower in the second leftmost column with three Magma and three Lightning Towers behind it.

When the Blackwing appears, try to stun it before it launches its skill. There’s a noticeable wind-up time. If you miss it, oh well, I’m fairly sure you can take one skill hit for free.

Replace the Monolith Tower when needed.

You can be aggressive with Cyclones. If you aim in the middle of the column between each tower pair, the Cyclone should reach both towers, greatly speeding up your progress.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 5

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 26,000 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Ballista Squad, Krabby, Animare, Hammer Squad, Evil Weevil
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Catapult Squad, Trebuchet Squad, Starfall, Axel, Bugsy, Indigo

This one can be a bit of a hit-or-miss, depending on how your siege squads decide to attack the enemies. You may need to repeat this a few times, slightly changing their positions.

The Krabby is pretty much irrelevant here. In fact, it serves as a great pointer. You can place a Monolith Tower two columns behind it to soak up other enemies while the Krabby stumbles to your Stronghold.

You need to work fast. Deploy all your officers and a Trebuchet Squad or two. They should deal with any units that have already spawned.

When the enemy Stronghold takes its first hit, it’ll spawn a huge force of enemies. Use Starfall immediately to stun them. Place more Trebuchet Squads and Catapult Squads down to rush the enemy Stronghold.

With some luck, your Trebuchet and Catapult Squads should focus on the enemy Stronghold, even with other enemies nearby.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 6

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 26,500 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Arrow Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Sniper Squad, Fighter Squad, Dark Magister
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Arrow Rain, Axel, Tally, Stella, Indigo, Blake

For this stage, you pretty much need to be always on the offensive.

Start by putting down a Trebuchet Squad, Axel, Tally, Stella, and Indigo. They should be able to push into the enemy towers with ease. Place another Trebuchet Squad to speed things along.

When the enemy starts deploying siege units, place a Monolith Tower in the top right corner as a distraction. Use Arrow Rain whenever enemies get grouped up to clear them and keep your officers and units safer.

When Axel dies, deploy Blake as the secondary tank. Re-deploy any officers that die during the fight after this (including Axel).

Place a few more Trebuchet Squads or use Arrow Rain to clear away enemies when you have the Aether for it.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 7

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 152 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Bullseye Tower, Lizard Squad, Fighter Squad, Gnome, Earl
  • Card selection: Deadly Shot, Arrow Rain, Cyclone, Axel, Tally, Aegis, Indigo, Blake

This one is deceptively straightforward if your cards are high enough level to handle the damage. A low-level Cyclone might make or break this stage.

The strategy is pretty simple. Use the Cyclone to destroy all Towers. Ideally, one Cyclone will do.

Then, deploy all of your officers and let them walk up to the enemy. Your officers are typically stronger than theirs.

Use Deadly Shot and Arrow Rain to clear groups of soldiers and allow your officers to focus on the enemy officers.

If this strategy doesn’t work for you, consider swapping out Deadly Shot for a Lightning or Magma Tower. It should have the same effect. Catapult Squads can also replace the Cyclone, but you’ll need to time them properly to have them focus on the towers instead of other enemies.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 8

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 191 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Magmalord, Engineer, Ballista Squad, Dragon Squad, Beastmaster
  • Card selection: All officers except Bugsy

This is another stage where your card level will really matter.

The strategy here is fairly straightforward. Deploy all officers except Blake at first. This means Axel will be the primary tank. When Axel is close to dying, deploy Blake to become the next damage soaker.

After the first officer dies, start re-deploying officers whenever their cooldown ends. There’s really no reason to hold back here since all you’re facing are waves of enemies.

If this strategy doesn’t work (usually because your cards are underleveled), you can swap out the least impactful officer you have with Lightning Towers or Crossbow Towers, again depending on their level. Place the towers along as your officers move forward. In this case, enemy siege units might give you a bit of trouble if they’re not focused down.

You should end up with a decent amount of spare Aether since officers are generally Aether-light, so you can use a tower instead of an officer without worrying about running out.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 9

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 28,000 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Mega Maggot, Ballista Squad, Hammer Squad, Hell Drider, Prince of Thieves
  • Card selection: All officers except Billy

This stage works pretty much like Stage 8, with a slight difference in officer selection, using Bugsy instead of Billy.

Again, this strategy highly depends on your cards’ levels and has a bit of a luck component when it comes to your officers focusing on enemies.

Unlike in the previous stage, you can safely start this one by plopping down every officer you have. Just keep in mind their respective attack ranges (you should have learned those by now), and you should be able to push through a few Maggots without losses.

Re-deploy any officers that die along the way. You’ll pretty much have an endless supply of Aether for officers, so don’t worry about running out.

When you start sieging the enemy Stronghold, try to position your officers based on their role. Place melee officers closer to enemy units to take them down quickly. Bugsy is irreplaceable as an officer since she deals full damage to Strongholds and bonus to Maggots.

If this doesn’t work, try using Destroyer Squads (if unlocked) or Trebuchets to push for damage. This tactic might make you a bit Aether-light, but it should do the trick.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 10

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 208 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Trebuchet Squad, Sniper Squad, Mecha Trojan, Pumpkinator, Coffer Guardian
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Axel, Tally, Stella, Aegis, Indigo, Blake, Earl

This stage is pretty straightforward, much like Stages 8 and 9.

The only major difference here is that you need a Monolith Tower in one corner to act as a target for enemy siege units.

Deploy all officers near the middle to keep enemies from crashing into your side of the region. Re-deploy any dead officers as soon as their cooldown is complete.

The Monolith tower should be able to take a few shots without a problem until your officers get time to backtrack to kill any siege units that escaped. Alternatively, re-deploy officers near grouped siege units to remove them.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 11

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 29,000 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Crossbow Tower, Cannoneer Squad, Cavalry Squad, Gargantua, Barbarian
  • Card selection: Trebuchet Squad, Axel, Tally, Bugsy, Stella, Indigo, Blake, Earl

For this one, slow and steady will win the race.

Wait until the enemy units come to your side of the field. Deploy Axel, Tally, Stella, Blake, and Earl to fight them off and slowly push towards enemy towers.

When your officers reach within three columns of the Monolith Towers, start a full-on offensive. Deploy Indigo and Blake, then start placing down as many Trebuchet Squads as your Aether allows it. Keep about a dozen Aether in reserve.

Re-deploy any officers that die as soon as possible (which is why I told you to keep some Aether reserves).

Continue placing down officers and Trebuchet Squads until you destroy all towers. When summoning Trebuchets, put them so they can immediately attack enemy towers.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 12

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 29,500 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Crossbow Tower, Cannoneer Squad, Cavalry Squad, Gargantua, Barbarian
  • Card selection: Earthquake, Axel, Tally, Billy, Stella, Aegis, Blake, Earl

If you’ve unlocked Earthquake and leveled it up a few times, this stage should be pretty easy.

Deploy your officers as soon as the enemy starts to approach your Stronghold.

Cast Earthquake to remove all towers. It’s pretty much an upgraded version of the Cyclone. The group of five towers in the front should be your first target for an Earthquake pretty much as soon as you start the stage.

Remove the other towers with Earthquake as your officers plod along, fighting the enemy units. Re-deploy any officers that die as soon as possible.

If you have spare Aether, you can cast Earthquake on the enemy Stronghold. It won’t do a lot of damage (half of what a Missile does at the same level), but what else are you going to use your spare Aether on?

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 13

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 273 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Arrow Tower, Catapult Squad, Trebuchet Squad, Destroyer Squad, Cannon Train
  • Card selection: Arrow Tower, Bow Squad, Crossbow Squad, Sniper Squad, Cannoneer Squad, Deadly Shot, Tally, Earl

This level is pretty self-explanatory, considering the composition of enemy forces.

A single Arrow Tower next to your Stronghold acts as a beacon. All enemy Siege units will ignore your soldiers and officers and go straight towards it.

Deploy all your units and officers to destroy the waves of siege units coming your way. Keep putting more Squads down whenever you have the Aether for it.

Keep an eye on the enemy Stronghold. When a Cannon Train appears, blast it away with a Deadly Shot. It should one-shot it.

Your ranged Squads shouldn’t have a problem killing all the units in time. With enough of them grouped in one place, the remaining enemy towers won’t stand a chance.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 14

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy all Towers
  • 3 Towers to Destroy
  • Enemies encountered: Bow Squad, Hammer Squad, Darkhand, Oakroot, Vile Obelisk
  • Card selection: Bow Squad, Crossbow Squad, Sniper Squad, Cannoneer Squad, Catapult Squad, Trebuchet Squad, Tally, Earl

Stage 14 is one of the more challenging stages in Chapter 7, and there are probably a few successful strategies. This one works if your cards are decently leveled up.

Start by placing your ranged squads (Bow, Crossbow, Sniper, Cannoneer Squads) in the bottom left corner, followed by your two officers. As they approach the enemy, place more ranged squads to join your units together.

Once your units come within enemy tower range, start placing down Catapult Squads and Trebuchet Squads.

I’m not going to lie. This stage requires a bit of luck and a lot of unit spamming. You’ll get huge amounts of Aether by killing units, so there’s no need to hold back.

Whenever you destroy a tower, repeat the grouping process, focusing more on ranged squads until you reach the next one.

Vergeway Chapter 7 Stage 15

  • Start with 60 Aether and 5,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 31,000 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Lightning Tower, Cannoneer Squad, Sword Squad, Zephyrus, Elementalist
  • Card selection: Deadly Shot, Earthquake, Axel, Tally, Aegis, Indigo, Blake, Earl

Start by placing an Earthquake between the top-left group of five towers. At this point, it should kill them in one cast. Repeat the same process for other tower groups.

Let the Zephyruses attack your Stronghold (they have a much higher range than your units), then deploy Axel and Tally to kill them.

Place the remaining officers when you have the chance. If Axel is about to die, place Blake to replace him, then continue re-deploying officers.

You can soften up any incoming Zephyruses with Deadly Shots. When you start assaulting the enemy Stronghold, use Deadly Shots whenever Zephyruses reappear. That should be enough to give your officers time to destroy the enemy Stronghold and win.

Chapter 7 Complete

Following my strategy, most stages in Chapter 7 should be pretty easy. Finishing the chapter gets you another Power Key and access to the next card tier.

Have fun trying the next Chapter out, or just wait until I release the walkthrough for Chapter 8. Either way, don’t forget to open daily chests to upgrade cards…
