If you were already readying up your life to fight for the Emperor in Warhammer: 40,000 Darktide, well, you have more time to ready up.

Developers Fatshark has announced that the upcoming co-op shooter/slasher horde game is delayed to November 30 on PC, with the Xbox Series X|S release launching “shortly after PC, with a specific launch date to come”.

Warhammer 40K Darktide was previously revealed to release in September.

“While we have been humbled by the great feedback on the game so far, we also need more time to improve stability, performance and to mature key systems,” reads the statement by Martin Wahlund, CEO and co-founder of Fatshark.

“Each is critical to making sure we have the best possible experience for you, the players.”

Warhammer 40K Darktide was initially revealed with a 2021 release window, before getting delayed in 2022.

Darktide will be built upon developers’ previous success from the Warhammer Vermintide series. So there are expectations from fans hoping the adaptation of the formula to the grimdark future setting of Warhammer 40K will be as good as the devs’ track records suggest so far.

Fans who still want to get their hands on Darktide in advance of the launch are more than welcome to sign-up for upcoming technical tests and betas here.
