This trick can be done right near the beginning of the game, once you reach New Atlantis. All you need to do is take the elevator down to The Well, the seedy underbelly of the city. Once down there you will be able to find two shops, an electronics shop and a trade shop, they are right next to each other in The Well.

All you need to do is speak to the shopkeeper in the electronics store and buy all the Digipicks. Then, speak with the lady in the trade shop and buy all of her Digipicks. Find a chair outside both of these shops and sit on it. You can then rest for 24 hours via the wait option. After 24 hours, the shop stock refills and you can repeat until you have as many Digipicks as you need.
