Koei Tecmo has announced the release date of developers Team Ninja’s upcoming game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is Team Ninja’s next soulslike game, set during The Three Kingdoms era of Ancient China. But it’s demon-plagued.

This masocore game, as the developers dub it, will have a Season Pass which will add new generals, new demons, new scenarios, new stages, new weapon types and more.

In addition, the results of the previous limited-time demo are out. Over 80,000 players managed to beat the demo and Team Ninja has outlined some of the changes to Wo Long in response to fan feedback. It includes making the recovery item much faster to use.

The demo, from our impressions, shows that Wo Long has evolved to be faster and more furious. If Nioh was Dark Souls with a Team Ninja spin, Wo Long is Team Ninja’s Sekiro.

It looks like Koei Tecmo will have a busy Q1 next year. Its other big release is Wild Hearts, developed by Omega Force (Dynasty Warriors series) and published by EA in February 2023.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be out on March 3, 2023, for the PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It will also release on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on the same date (day-1 release).
