WoW Classic Season of Discovery Hotfixes and Patch Notes – Nerfs and Buffs after initial release.

Here is an updated list of all the changes to Classes and specs on WoW Classic Season of Discovery. We’ll add the latest changes to the top, and keep any other relevant recent changes under those. If there are a lot of changes we’ll keep the past months worth.

Latest changes on December 2nd after the first 24 hours. We expect future changes to come in the form of minor hotfixes as Blizzard highlights major issues. Sadly, we suspect more of these will be nerfs for now rather than buffs.

Season of Discovery Hotfixes

Mage

• Healing caused by Arcane Explosion reduced by 80%.

Blizzard noted that Arcane Explosion was a little too OP and, as such, was making content too easy.

Hunter

• The Explosive Shot rune ability has been redesigned and its damage dramatically decreased. Each time it deals damage, it now damages all enemies within 8 yards of the primary target.
• Chimera Shot damage was reduced to 85% of weapon damage.

 This mostly comes in the form of the Explosive Shot Rune which was doing too much AOE damage, though it should still provide Hunters with more than enough of that. 

Other changes

• Adjustments have been made to the Ashenvale PvP event to allow it to start a bit easier.

Blizzard note: “Please be reminded that there will not be much intrigue here until Ashenvale is teeming with level 25 players.”

• Numerous fixes have been made to Rune acquisitions to make them less prone to bottlenecking.
• Fixed a bug with Twilight Lord Kelris in Blackfathom Deeps that was causing him to target pets with his abilities too often, including his Sleep ability, which should no longer target pets at all.
• Fixed a bug with Aku’mai’s Void Elemental adds that caused their Shadowbolt Volley ability to deal incorrect damage.
