AMD FSR 2.2 Support Available In Need For Speed Unbound, Coming To F1 22

AMD announced that two more games are and will support the latest version of AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (AMD FSR), AMD FSR 2.2.

The two games are from EA: Need For Speed Unbound and F1 22.

Need For Speed Unbound (our review here) has FSR 2.2 already right at launch, while F1 22 will get FSR 2.2 support in an upcoming update in January 2023.

Together with Forza Horizon 5, these games highlight one new feature of FSR 2.2, less ghosting on fast-moving objects. Something a racing game has plenty of.

AMD FSR is a resolution upscaling tech that allows the game to render at a higher resolution than its actual rendering resolution, allowing the PC to provide performance by way of more fps rather than natively rendering the screen natively. Like other upscaling techs, it works in motion most of the time but won’t be something for those who like to take screenshots. But if you’re just playing games and require good performance, tech like FSR fits the bill.
