Aurora bench KaiR0N-

The Russian is moved to the inactive roster after spending just three months with the squad.

Aurora have revealed that Aleksandr “KaiR0N-” Anashkin has been moved to the bench and subsequently placed on the transfer list.

The news marks the end of a three-month partnership between the Russian player and Serbian organisation, one which became official when Aurora signed the roster back in August.

KaiR0N- averaged a 1.06 rating whilst with Aurora

KaiR0N-‘s time on Aurora‘s books dates back to when the organisation formally announced their entry into CS:GO back in August. The signing of the squad came as a result of the quintet’s surprise qualification for the IEM Road to Rio Europe RMR, where they notably eliminated the heavyweights of Astralis in the first open qualifier to earn a spot at the Major-qualifying event.

Aurora go official following RMR qualifier success

The Russian-majority side struggled to maintain their fairy-tale run once in Malta, however, as they exited the competition without a single win to their name after suffering one-sided losses to fnatic, GamerLegion, and Eternal Fire.

The decision to move KaiR0N- to the bench comes as quite a surprise, even in spite of their winless campaign through the RMR. The 18-year-old had been his side’s best-performing player by quite some margin, putting up a team-high 1.06 rating with his closest peer being Viktor “Lack1” Boldyrev (0.97).

Aurora now have the following lineup:

Russia Evgeny “delus1onn” Plottsov
Kazakhstan Viktor “Lack1” Boldyrev
Azerbaijan Amin “sugaR” Azimov
Russia Evgeny “Norwi” Ermolin

Ukraine Sergey “starix” Ischuk (coach)

Russia Aleksandr “KaiR0N-” Anashkin (inactive)
