A recent report from Tom Henderson reveals that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in active development and will soon reach a new milestone.

According to the leaker, multiple sources have told him that Beyond Good and Evil 2 will step into the external playtesting this month. Apparently, Ubisoft plans an extensive playtesting session for this huge project as Henderson reveals that it won’t feature once-a-week testing sessions similar to previous titles of the company.

This unofficial information about Beyond Good and Evil 2 appeared online after Ubisoft reported in a recent investor call that the game is still a part of the company’s pipeline for the future.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

Beyond Good and Evil 2 was revealed back in 2017 and since then, it has only received a few cinematic trailers. Currently, there is no information on when we can expect it to launch or how far the responsible studios have gone with developing the game.

Multiple big projects have been revealed and launched after the announcement of Beyond Good and Evil 2 by Ubisoft, but this anticipated sequel still doesn’t seem to be close to launching. Some previous rumors had pointed out that the game was stuck in development hell for years, but if the leak from Tom Henderson turns out to be true, it could be a good sign of progress in the game’s development.

When announced back in 2017, Ubisoft described Beyond Good and Evil 2 as a huge, large-scale project, but the development apparently didn’t go well enough as the director of the project left Ubisoft back in 2020.

A year after the game’s announcement, Ubisoft encouraged fans to provide their suggestions and views of a sequel to Beyond Good and Evil with the development team, but the company has not shared anything new about the future of this game in the last few years.

In September 2022, Ubisoft will have a brand new showcase of its own, which might include new details on Beyond Good and Evil 2 if we are anywhere close to its launch. That being said, it’s nothing we can count on for now.

If the external playtesting begins this month, we might get even more leaks from the game’s work-in-progress build.
