Bizarre Apex Legends Glitch Swaps Abilities Following Season 14 Launch

Although the launch of Apex Legends’ Season 14 update has gone relatively well for Respawn Entertainment, they probably didn’t anticipate finding out that there’s a new glitch swapping the abilities of Legends.

Season 14: Hunted, introduces a brand new Legend to the Apex Games, known as Vantage. Of course, the introduction of a new Legend means there are brand new abilities for players to try out. Vantage is an 18-year-old Sniper Rifle expert from the planet Pagos. Her ultimate ability, known as Sniper’s Mark, allows players to use a custom rifle to mark enemy targets and apply a damage bonus for them and their team.

But what if you could use Vantage’s ultimate ability with a completely different Legend? Well, that’s not supposed to be possible, but following the launch of Season 14 earlier this week, players seem to be doing just that.

As spotted by Apex Legends data miner, KralRindo, as well as various other users on Reddit, a new glitch appears to be mixing the abilities of Legends with each other. Although many players are finding the glitch to be completely bizarre, many are saying it’s the best bug they’ve ever had in the game.

According to KralRindo, the glitch is completely random, so there’s no way to forcefully change your Legend’s abilities to another. However, it does appear to be happening to players quite frequently, so there’s a strong chance it could happen to you too next time you jump into a game.

The clip tweeted out by KralRindo shows a player using Wraith’s ultimate ability whilst playing as Wattson, whilst another Reddit user can be seen playing as Ash but using the abilities of Loba.

Respawn Entertainment are yet to address the issue, but new bug fix patches are often released shortly after the launch of a new season. We wouldn’t be surprised to see this one fixed sooner rather than later, even if fans are absolutely loving it.
