Are you wondering if Dying Light 2 has a built-in photo mode, allowing you to capture images of its world? Here’s what you need to know.
Despite being ravaged by the zombie apocalypse, the world of Dying Light 2 is still beautiful. Greenery sprouts from rooftops, and a cityscape stretches out around you. It begs to be photographed, in all honesty. But at the moment, Dying Light 2 has no photo mode.
We’re just as disappointed as you are; while playing through there have been dozens of moments where we wish we could whip out an in-game camera. After all, our surroundings are just too beautiful not to. But in the meantime all you can make do with is your console’s built in screenshot function.

However! All is not lost. Techland, the developer of Dying Light 2, has said that it’s planning to add a photography mode to the game in a future update. During a discussion on Twitter, the game’s lead designer, Tymon Smektala confirmed that a photo mode is “in the pipeline”, but the team “didn’t want to rush it for release”.
It’s a shame we can’t enjoy it at launch, but it’ll be a good reason to jump back in at a later date.
