Fortnite Update 3.62 Patch Notes For v21.20 Today (July 6)

A brand new Fortnite update was deployed earlier today (July 6) across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Android, and PC, with v21.20 bringing some brand new content, fixes, and more.

The update did mean that servers were taken offline for around two hours, but it’s worth the wait. Once again, Epic Games will be making some big changes to the Fortnite island in the v21.20, as well as kicking off the new summer event with some brand new skins.

Fortnite Update 3.62 Patch Notes

We’re still currently waiting for Epic Games to release the full changelog for the July 6 Fortnite update. With servers currently in maintenance, we can expect the patch notes to arrive shortly after downtime comes to an end.

However, thanks to the game’s official Trello board, we know exactly what fixes are likely to be implemented. As many players will be aware, the latest Fortnite patch will bring the game to v21.20 and is expected to fix the following issues:

General Top Issues

  • Friend Accepted notifications may repeatedly show on launch for some players

Battle Royale Issues

  • Server replays are not accessible
  • Sapling Icon can be misplaced on the Map/Minimap

Creative Issues

  • Tracker Device not updating correctly for teams when multiple teams are able to use it
  • Proper movers and manipulators can not be placed when they don’t overlap with props

There are numerous other bug fixes likely included in today’s update, but the ones mentioned above are currently listed to be fixed in the next game update.

In terms of content, leakers such as ShiinaBR informed fans to expect the following changes and new content in the upcoming Fortnite update:

  • Map changes, possibly to Sleepy Sound or Condo Canyon
  • New Summer event and skins
  • Indiana Jones cosmetics
  • New weekly quests
  • Possible new weapon or unvaulted weapon/item
  • Plus more!
