Ghost of Tsushima update 2.15 adds new Iki Island content

Ghost of Tsushima has dropped a surprise update for fans. Version 2.15 of the game is now available to download (this will show as 2.015.00 on PS5 versions).

Unlike previous patches which have mainly focused on minor fixes and improvements, this latest update adds a new chunk of content.

In order to experience it, you will need to own the Iki Island DLC expansion (or Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut). You’ll find that developer Sucker Punch has added a shrine to the island with a new puzzle to solve. If you manage to do so then there’s a brilliant Horizon themed costume up for grabs, copying Aloy’s signature look from Zero Dawn.

We’re also glad to see that support for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is continuing. Update 2.15 adds a new difficulty tier – you can read more in the patch notes below.

Ghost of Tsushima Update 2.15 Patch Notes

Single-player

The Forbidden Shrine can now be found to the north of Iki Island. Interact with it and solve the puzzle for a special armor created in collaboration with our friends at Guerrilla.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends

Added new Platinum difficulty level for Survival. This is still standard gameplay and will not feature weekly modifiers like Nightmare, but is harder than the gameplay offered in Gold difficulty, with better rewards and a higher chance for high-level gear.

Added Block button to Social tab in pause menu. This will allow players to add anyone they have matched with in-game directly to the PlayStation’s built-in blocklist to prevent matchmaking with that player in the future.

Addressed an issue that was causing brief stutters during gameplay.

We expect to release an additional patch next month which will focus on Legends bug fixes and improvements.

Of course, the new content ties in nicely with the upcoming release of Horizon Forbidden West. The Sony exclusive will launch on PS4 and PS5 on February 18, 2022.
