Jim Boeheim Retires Following ACC Tournament Exit

Syracuse head basketball coach Jim Boeheim has retired the school announced on Wednesday. The news comes following Syracuse’s loss to Wake Forest in their first game of the ACC Tournament.

Boeheim coached at Syracuse for 47 years, which was highlighted by winning the 2003 National Championship. He made five Final Fours in his career and posted a 1,116-440 record.

Lead assistant Adrian Autry will take over as head coach. Autry played for Syracuse from 1990-1994. He has been an assistant with the Orange since the 2011 season.
