FlyQuest vs TSM

The game started out slow for both teams, with not much trading and no early ganks. We saw TSM getting the first Herald while FLY tried to get the drake. But TSM bot lane was able to contest it so they took the drake as well. The first blood came at the 14th minute for Spica and TSM was ahead 1.5k gold at this point. TSM controlled objectives pretty well getting the second drake as well. Even though they gave away the second Herald, they got two more kills in return. They were also able to trade turrets and kept the gold lead over 3k at 20 minutes. FLY tried to force the third drake, but their uncoordinated take cost them four kills and the objective. At the 25th minute, TSM found a pick on Josedeodo and got a Baron out of it pushing their lead to 7k.

FLY started out the fight for the soul with a pick on S0ul. But they were too behind so they lost the ensuing 4v5 fight. TSM managed to pick up the soul and Instinct got a pentakill in his second LCS game. With their lead over 11k, TSM started sieging and destroying FLY’s base. FLY tried to defend, but after they lost three inhibitors it was a tall task. They eventually lost the fight and TSM ended the game.

  • Teams: FLY – TSM
  • Time: 31:29
  • Kills: 1 – 16
  • Turrets: 1 – 11
  • Gold: 49.1k – 63k

Counter Logic Gaming vs 100 Thieves

100T started the game focused big time at the top lane, a three-man gank at the seventh minute netted them the first blood. They also tried to get the first Herald after killing Contractz, but Dhokla managed to steal the objective and a kill in the fight. 100T kept their focus at top most of the early game and they still got the first drake which put them in a comfortable 1.5k lead. There was a big fight for the second Herald, even though CLG wasn’t too much behind their teamfighting wasn’t coordinated enough and 100T picked up the objective and got a full ace, pushing their lead to 4.5k at 15 while getting drakes. The Thieves overstepped a little in the mid game, giving away some kills back but they still controlled objectives very well and they were on soul point at the 21st minute. Just after the drake, they got two more picks which led to a Baron.

With the Baron buff, 100T sieged bot and top and CLG decided to fight instead of conceding turrets. They lost the fight and their turrets fell anyway which pushed the gold lead near 10k. CLG then tried to contest the soul but after they lost two kills, 100T decided to end the game instead of taking the drake.

  • Teams: CLG – 100T
  • Time: 28:18
  • Kills: 7 – 20
  • Turrets: 2 – 10
  • Gold: 45.1k – 57.1k

  • Barons: 0 – 1

Evil Geniuses vs Team Liquid

The game of the week started out delivering with two level-3 ganks from both junglers. Inspired got the first blood for his team at the bot lane while Santorin chose to visit mid lane. There were more skirmishes around the mid/jungle duos but no more kills. Inspired spent a little too much time at the bot lane which gave TL a free first Herald, and with their bot pressure, they also got the first drake. Even after a successful dive at the bot lane, TL was only ahead 250 gold, which they pushed to near 2k just when the plates fell. They also controlled objectives very well, getting both Heralds and the first two drakes. But EG made the first play with a double TP and by taking the next drake as they took over the gold lead. Going into the fourth drake TL lacked damage in the fights as they couldn’t finish kills and EG managed to tie the drake numbers.

EG started to Baron with the hopes of luring TL in after Zilean ult was used. They got their fight and won it handily after a triple kill from Danny. With the Baron, their gold lead was pushed over 4k and TL decided they couldn’t contest the drake and Eg also got an Infernal Soul point. TL tried to fight one last time but they were too uncoordinated as they chased Inspired. With over 7k gold lead at this point, they could not hold EG back as they pushed for the end and cemented their place in the first place.

  • Teams: EG – TL
  • Time: 34:40
  • Kills: 19 – 8
  • Turrets: 8 – 3
  • Gold: 62.5k – 53.4k
  • Dragons: 3 – 2
  • Barons: 1 – 0

Cloud9 vs Immortals

The first blood of the game came from an invade from C9’s jungle/support duo, which directly led to an early first drake for C9. The game slowed down after this invade, we saw C9 get the Herald uncontested and most of the game was around Blaber’s Kindred trying to reach his first four marks, and C9 had a 1k lead at 10 minutes. But at the second drake C9 couldn’t fight as a team as they gave away the objective and two kills on top of it. We then saw some trading with IMT getting a kill on Jensen but C9 picking up their second drake, but at this point IMT had about 800 gold lead. Another fight for the third drake but no one died as C9 picked up their soul point and the gold is nearly tied.

Just after the 25th minute, C9 found two picks and directly went for the Baron. They got the buff but Fudge ended up dying which meant IMT picked up the drake to delay C9’s soul opportunity. C9 tried to siege bot but then stuck around too long in a 3v5 and gave up three kills, however, their gold lead was still strong at 3k. C9 looked uncoordinated during the late game as they just stood around while IMT took a Baron. While they still had a 2k gold lead, it did not mean much at this point with a 5-item Corki on the enemy team. Going into the soul fight, IMT managed to tie the gold with their Baron. C9 won the fight 2-for-1 but IMT got the Mountain Soul. IMT went for a Baron at 40 minutes, C9 stole the objective but lost three members which meant IMT got to end the game.

  • Teams: C9 – IMT
  • Time: 41:44
  • Kills: 10 – 15
  • Turrets: 5 – 8
  • Gold: 74.5k – 76.6k
  • Dragons: 3 – 4
  • Barons: 2 – 1

Golden Guardians vs Dignitas

lcsweek4ggdigdraft

Dig started out the last game of the day with a delayed invade on the Pridestalkr and getting a sub-2-minute first blood. River then ganked top at level three to give Dig a 1k lead at three minutes. The first Herald went to GG despite this early lead as they won the fight for it 2-for-1. With some kills going over and GG taking second Herald the gold was tied, but Dİg still had an advantage of two early drakes. Just when the clock hit 20, GG found a pick on two opponents, one of them being River. This gave them a very early Baron and pushed their lead to over 3k. They also got the next drake which delayed Dig’s soul point. But they couldn’t get much out of the buff after Licorice and Ablazeolive got picked off while alone.

GG headed back to the Baron after getting one kill in a mid lane fight, they got two more kills and secured the Baron when Dig came to contest the objective. GG then had a 2-3 minute long siege at the bot lane with over 7k gold lead. While Dig tried to fight them off, they were too behind and could not stop GG from ending the game.

  • Teams: GG – DIG
  • Time: 31:35
  • Kills: 16 – 10
  • Turrets: 8 – 3
  • Gold: 59.7k – 50.6k
  • Dragons: 2 – 2
  • Barons: 2 – 0
