Mutant Football League 2 is now in development, Digital Dreams Entertainment has confirmed. At the moment there is no estimated release window, but it has been confirmed that the game will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The reason for the lack of estimated release window is due to the fact that some of the developers are based in Kyiv, Ukraine so the uncertain future the war holds means the company cannot commit to a date yet.
The description for the game reads: “The reborn and modernized Mutant Football League 2 is an 8-on-8 arcade-style, fully 3D sports video game where a variety of gruesome creatures take to the gridiron to battle it out in the most violent game ever played! The hilarious and brutal parody of professional American football will introduce a new generation of gamers to some of the wildest, most bloodthirsty superstar players to ever strap on shoulder spikes.”
Mutant Football League 2 will have many more features than the original game including new Dirty Tricks, more roles for All Stars, adding an 8th player on the field so there are four receivers. Digital Dreams Entertainment has also confirmed that during matches in Mutant Football League 2 the weather will change mid match, which could provide either advantages or disadvantages depending on the tactics you have in place. Custom teams will also be in the game with players able to draft Mutant Football League players into their teams to use in the Dynasty Supreme franchise mode.
