Publisher 11-bit studios has announced that their new story-driven game South of the Circle will launch for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC on August 3.
South of the Circle was first released on the Apple Store back in December 2020, and players have been waiting for the narrative title to come to consoles and PC for a long time. Players will finally get their hands on South of the Circle in two weeks.
“Watch the latest trailer and have a glimpse of the engaging cinematic story contrasting the freezing cold of Antarctica with the burning desire to keep our promises in the upcoming game from State of Play and 11-bit studios”, the developers shared in a statement.
South of the Circle is a story-based, emotional narrative experience that takes place during the Cold War in the 1960s. You play Peter, the protagonist of the story, whose objective is to try and survive a savage winter while experiencing emotional turmoil as he wrestles with past decisions. Peter develops a romantic attachment with his fellow academic Ciara and the weight of his promises starts to place him under great pressure.
The game will have an enchanting aesthetic and visually appealing landscapes. South of the Circle allows players to make emotional choices that will directly affect the course of the story. 11 bit also motion-capped actors to make the experience feel more authentic.
Players can now add South of the Circle to their wishlist on Steam and GOG. The price of the upcoming single-player adventure game has not been revealed as of yet. Apple Arcade and Apple One subscribers currently experience the game for free.
