NFL Draft Prospects in the 2022 Quick Lane Bowl

The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2022 Quick Lane Bowl.

New Mexico State Aggies Draft Prospects

Chris Ojoh, LB

Ojoh started his collegiate career at Eastern Washington before transferring to New Mexico State. At the FBS level, he has 173 total tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. This season, Ojoh has totaled 101 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks.

At 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, Ojoh won’t be the biggest linebacker in the draft class. He has proven that he can get to the ball carrier and help stop the run. In order to make more of an impact at the next level, his coverage will need to improve.

Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent

Lazarus Williams, EDGE

Williams played at two different schools at the JUCO level before joining New Mexico State. For his career with the Aggies, he has 64 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. He has 39 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks this season.

For the NFL, Williams has great size at 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds. He has the requisite strength to hold up against NFL offensive linemen and his pass-rushing production from this season specifically will give teams hope.

Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent

Bowling Green Falcons Draft Prospects

Karl Brooks, DL

Brooks has played five seasons at Bowling Green and has emerged as the leader of the team. Over his career, he has 167 total tackles, 46 tackles for loss and 27.5 sacks. This season, he has registered 50 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.

He stands 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds, which is good enough for the NFL. His size has allowed him to play multiple different spots along the defensive line. His ability to stop the run and also be a versatile player will help his draft stock.

Projected Draft Range: Fifth Round Pick-Seventh Round Pick

Darren Anders, LB

Anders has played his whole four-year career for the Falcons and has been a big part of things over the last two seasons. He has 268 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in his career. This season, Anders has 69 total tackles, two tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

He is 6-foot and 235 pounds which will fit in well with the NFL. Although his production took a step back this season, Anders has proven to be able to help stop the run. His blitzing and coverage will need work for the next level.

Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
