Arcane premiered on November 7th, 2021, and while only two parts are out at time of writing, the Riot Games animated series has definitely taken the world by storm – thanks, in part, to some amazing work by Riot themselves. Collaborations across platforms and games have seen Arcane headlining everywhere, not just on Netflix, and now Riot have announced that they are taking it one step further as they team up with some of the best streamers and influencers from the SEA region for a brand-new event.

Currently ongoing is the League of Legends: Wild Rift Horizon Cup, a tournament featuring teams from around the globe fighting in the first ever international tournament for the game. Having come out a year ago, Wild Rift has grown exponentially, and for the SEA region, mobile gaming is a way of life – and Riot have realised this. The addition of a “Guilds” feature in Wild Rift will see players able to join friends and like-minded community members within the game but the event itself goes one step further.

The Wild Rift Guild versus Guild Online event will see a host of well-known SEA influencers take control of a “Guild” to which they can recruit their fans and players in the community. These Guilds will then go head-to-head in a fantastic series of Wild Rift tournaments against one another, with the winning Guild receiving a plethora of WR Cores and general merchandise too.

Justin Hulong, General Manager of Riot Games SEA, had the following statement,

We hope the Guilds feature can allow players and fans to build deeper connections with like-minded community members within the game. We’re excited to bring the series of Wild Rift Guild vs Guild online events to players in Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia as we celebrate Arcane, our very first animated series!”

The influencer representatives for the involved regions are:

Thailand

Philippines

Indonesia

The competition itself will run from November 26-27, but the Guild influencers will already be scouting for talent to bring to their teams. You can find all the information for this via their social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
