Underground Factory Builder Techtonica Gets A Steam Next Fest Demo

Techtonica, the factory automation builder by Fire Hose Games currently has a demo as part of Steam Next Fest.

Techtonica has you stranded underground, in the subsurface of an alien planet. And your job is to gather resources and build stuff. And you’re going to be building a lot of stuff so you will have to automate a lot of the process and before you know it, you’ve built a factory complete with a spaghetti mess of conveyour belts.

And if the terrain gets in the way, you have some options to terraform these caves to make more space for your assemblers and mining drills.

The Steam Next Fest demo, which technically hs been released a few weeks earlier, walks you through a tutorial, with a surprisingly good amount of story, before letting you loose in a cave to explore, exploit and expand your factory.

There is at least one more first-person factory builder that has a limited-time demo during this Steam Next Fest. However, Techtonica has its own quirks when it comes to its building mechanics, and it’s worth a try to see if it jives with your vibe or not.

You can download the Techtonica Steam Next Fest demo here.

Techtonica still has no release date yet, but it’s coming to PC via Steam.
