Valiance and Vexite join Vertex

The squad is looking to challenge the best in Oceania with the signing of the former ORDER duo.

VERTEX have announced the signings of Declan “Vexite” Portelli and Matthew “Valiance” Hartrick, completing their lineup after the removal of James “Roflko” Lytras and Tom “apocdud” Henry which followed a failed ESL Pro League Conference appearance. The changes come amidst the Oceanic shuffle season, which saw numerous roster moves go down.

Vexite and Valiance found themselves looking for options following ORDER‘s acquisition of the former Renegades roster headlined by Joshua “INS” Potter and Alistair “aliStair” Johnston. Following two months out of action, they have a new home in VERTEX.

17-year-old Vexite is a stand-out talent in the region

VERTEX‘s last outing was at the ESL Pro League Season 13 Conference tournament in Sweden, where the Oceanic squad didn’t make a mark. One-sided losses to Illuminar and Falcons resulted in swift elimination, one that was matched by domestic rivals Encore. The region’s pride, ORDER, also failed to qualify for ESL Pro League groups, returning home with just a win over Encore to complete a disappointing event for Oceania.

With two of the old ORDER’s standout players in Valiance and Vexite, VERTEX will be hoping they can challenge the domestic competition and secure international trips more regularly going forward.

VERTEX are now:

Australia Liam “malta” Schembri
Australia Toby “BRACE” Barnes
Australia Jordan “pz” White
Australia Declan “Vexite” Portelli
Australia Matthew “Valiance” Hartrick
