ARK Fjordur: All Obelisk Locations

The Fjordur DLC for ARK: Survival Evolved has brought a massive new map to the world for players to explore. With a new map comes three new obelisks for players to discover, and to use for summoning powerful bosses. These obelisks are a staple to ARK maps and appear as large floating towers; one red, one blue, and one green.

Additionally, obelisks can be used to upload and download dinosaur data via the terminals at the base of the structures, as well as upload or download survivor data. These structures are great places to live near, and all players should know exactly where to go to find them.

Where To Find The Obelisks In ARK Fjordur

These obelisks are quite large and float quite high above the map, so it’s very likely that players will see at least one of them when loading into the world, depending on where they are. The three towers are spread out around the corners of the map, with the green obelisk in the far northeast, red in the southeast, and blue in the southwest.

Players should make use of their GPS for the three obelisks, using the coordinates listed below. The three obelisks can be found at:

  • Green: Latitude 17.70, Longitude 87.70
  • Red: Latitude 75.00, Longitude 85.00
  • Blue: Latitude 74.40, Longitude 7.90

As usual, the obelisks are primarily used to summon the endgame bosses. The ones on Fjordur are a bit more involved than longtime players may be used to, however. By approaching the terminals located directly beneath the obelisks, players can interact with them and choose to summon the three bosses, the Gamma Boss, the Beta Boss, and the Alpha Boss.

In order to summon any of the bosses, players will be required to collect the three associated trophy heads. For example, to summon the Gamma Boss, players will need the Gamma Broodmother Trophy Head, the Gamma Dragon Trophy Head, and the Gamma Megapithecus Trophy Head. These are collected by defeating the bosses around the map, who can all be summoned at their respective terminals. To summon different tiers (Gamma, Beta, and Alpha), players will require different lists of numerous artifacts, detailed within the terminals.

The three terminals are located at:

  • Broodmother: Latitude 59.2, Longitude 64.6
  • Dragon: Latitude 87.1, Longitude 01.9
  • Megapithecus: Latitude 57.9, Longitude 86.1

The obelisks are also used for saving and transferring data, both for survivors and dinosaurs. This is easy enough to do, and is done by simply interacting with the terminal and pressing “Transmit Ark Data”. If players are looking to upload dinosaur data, be sure that the creatures are somewhat close to the terminal when interacting with it. On the next page, players can click either “Upload Survivor Data” or “Upload Creature Data”.

If players are uploading creature data, it is recommended that players empty a creature’s inventory before uploading their data, as the inventory will not be saved. The creature can then be downloaded at any one of the three obelisk terminals. When uploading survivor data, players will be returned to the character creation menu.
