The next DLC for sim racer Assettto Corsa Competizione, the American Track Pack DLC, is out today. The DLC adds three new tracks from the USA, all laser scanned to ensure the accuracy of every inch of the tarmac seen in the game is the same as the real-life equivalent.
And it’s quite the trio of tracks too. Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Circuit Of The Americas (COTA) and Watkins Glen are all amazing race tracks with quite the history and fame.
Indy is more known to be the host of the Indy 500, but its road course layout is used for the Indianapolis 8 Hour, part of the 2022 Intercontinental GT Challenge. COTA should be a familiar name for F1 fans as the current track for the US Grand Prix, and Watkins Glen has been the site of many kinds of racing, open-wheelers, sports cars and stock cars alike.
The release of the DLC today is also to celebrate Assetto Corsa Competizione being the game of choice for the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games’ esports competition. There will be 17 different racing disciplines that are competing, one of which is esports.
This is the first time Assetto Corsa Competizione is the selected game for the competition, which will see the best players compete in GT, GT Sprint and Endurance disciplines.
Previously, the FIA Motorsport Games used Gran Turismo Sport for its esports competition. Coincidentally, the newer Gran Turismo 7 is adding Watkins Glen to the game recently.
Assetto Corsa Competizione American Track Pack DLC is out now on PC (Steam) for RM80.
