God Of War Ragnarök Has Gone Gold

The next big PlayStation first-party exclusive title God Of War Ragnarök has gone gold. Which effectively means that the development of the launch version of the game has wrapped up.

Developer Santa Monica Studio has announced this on Twitter last week, and unless a Cyberpunk 2077 debacle happened, God Of War Ragnarök should be on track to hit its November 9 release date.

Fascinatingly, the celebration graphic used in the Twitter post also highlights the many other studios contributing to the development of God Of War Ragnarök which includes the following:

  • PlayStation Studios Creative Arts
  • Valkyrie Entertainment
  • Bluepoint Games
  • Red Hot
  • Super Alloy
  • Jetpack Interactive
  • Supergenius
  • Original Force

It’s cool to see co-development studios and contributors get credited this way, outside of the game’s credits. More of this please, PlayStation.

God Of War Ragnarök will continue the epic adventure of Kratos and his boy Atreus through the world of Norse mythology. Expect action and more family drama in this follow-up to God Of War (2018).

This game will also launch with a limited-edition PS5 DualSense controller.

God Of War Ragnarök will be out on November 9 for the PS4 and PS5.
