Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Delayed To 2023

The funky fresh beats ain’t ready yet. Team Reptile, the developer for the upcoming rollerblading, skateboarding and BMX-ing and graffiti tagging game Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, has announced the game won’t be ready for release this year.

“We are convinced that releasing the game this year will not take it to a level where we would be personally satisfied with,” the developer tweeted.

The game is now expected to release in summer (Q3) 2023, or “future” as the Steam page continues to display its expected release date as.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk wears its inspiration up its sleeve. This is the closest we will get to a revival of Jet Set Radio. The neo-future setting where the street gangs bite back against the authority is very reminiscent of the currently dormant series by Sega.

To help make that connection clearer, the composer behind Jet Set Radio (and more popular these days as a regular Twitter shitposter) Hideki Naganuma is contributing to Bomb Rush Cyberfunk’s soundtrack.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is now expected to release in summer 2023 for the PC and Nintendo Switch.
