Transformers: Reactivate Is An Upcoming 4-Player Co-Op Action Game By Splash Damage

Splash Damage made a big splash of an announcement at The Game Awards 2022. The developer behind Gears Tactics and Dirty Bomb announced their next game: Transformers: Reactivate.

Based on the Hasbro IP and the Transformers universe, Transformers: Reactivate sees the world as we know has been lost to.. “them”: The Legion. But luckily, the Autobots or whatever that’s left of them has been salvaged by the remaining humans to be revived and face the threat once more.

Transformers: Reactive will see you play solo or as a party of up to 4 players controlling the Autobots. And yes they do transform between vehicle and bot form.

Not much is shown in the cinematic trailer, it’s one of those tone-setting trailers that show little if any gameplay.

Splash Damage is now 500+ people strong, after acquiring developer Bulkhead (The Turing Test).

Transformers: Reactivate is expected to release on PC and consoles. There’s no release date yet, but a Closed Beta is expected to appear in 2023. Players can sign up for the beta here.
