Cold War RTS Regiments Releasing This August

Publisher MicroProse has announced the release date for Bird’s Eye Games upcoming RTS Regiments.

Regiments is set during the heights of the Cold War, in 1989. The German countryside is the battlefield here, where NATO and the Warsaw Pact clash in conflict.

You have access to artillery and air support, mobile defences and a Platoon Command system that lets you control the bigger picture rather than having to micro-managing every single unit.

Regiments lets you pick from four factions (Soviet Union, USA, West Germany, East Germany), features over 60 authentic vehicles, three different skirmish modes with dynamic objectives and “smooth learning curve and high accessibility even to novice RTS players”.

RTS are a dime a dozen these days, and if you’re wanting something that depicts a historical timeline that’s not from the two World Wars (but still far from the current, real conflicts that are happening in the world right now), Regiments has that niche covered.

Regiments will be out on August 16 on PC via Steam.
