EA Set To Drop Project CARS, Halts Development of Fourth Entry Indefinitely

EA has reveal that they are dropping the Project CARS franchise, after the company deems the series unlikely to become a future success or fit within the rest of the publisher’s racing portfolio, according to this report by Gamesindustry.biz.

Slightly Mad Studios, the creators of the series before being purchased by Codemasters, has also released a statement on the matter, which also confirms the development of upcoming fourth entry being halted, and most likely being cancelled altogether.

EA also says that employees working on this series will now be moved into “suitable” roles, with their futures uncertain at this time.
