Gran Turismo 7 October 2022 Update Adds Four New Cars

image

Good news: the regular monthly car addition to Gran Turismo 7 is bumped to four cars rather than the usual three.

The bad news: no new circuit layouts or tracks.

The four new cars are a good mix of old and new as usual, including a new Gr.3 car.

First up, we have another Maserati (Maserati) addition. The Maserati Merak SS is a classic sports car from the 70s, with this SS version added to GT7 coming from the 1980 model year.

Then, there’s the Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R. This special variant of the Hakosuka carries the GT-R badge, and only 197 were ever made in real life.

There’s also a more modern GT-R. The 2018 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 was made for GT3 racing and even appeared in another sim racing game Assetto Corsa Competizione– with the GT logo and all. It is unfortunately another GT-R GT3- the current game has an older model already- but hey, new car.

And lastly here’s another Mazda MX-5. Referred to as the Mazda Roadster NR-A (ND) in-game, this version of the Roadster is made for racing, and is based on the 2022 model year version.

No cars from the Americas for this month’s update.

Cars Added To Gran Turismo 7 October 2022:

  • Maserati Merak SS ’80
  • Mazda Roadster NR-A (ND) ’22
  • Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (KPGC110) ’73
  • Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 ’18

The October 2022 update, or version 1.25, of Gran Turismo 7 will go live tomorrow, October 20.

GT7 is out now on PS4 and PS5. You can find our review of it here.
