Skate 4 Is Now “skate.”, A Free-To-Play Game With Cross-Progression Between All Consoles And PC

So here’s a hitch on the hype train for the return of the “Skate” series.

Full Circle, the new developers of the series, and EA are making Skate into a free-to-play Live Service game. With both cross-gen, cross-play and cross progression already confirmed for this highly anticipated game.

And yes, it is not Skate 4 but just “skate.” due to the developers making this title more of a platform instead of a sequel and/or reboot.

The developers did explain on their YouTube channel on how will the F2P aspect will work, with them sharing the four ground work rules on it’s model. And that includes No Pay-to-Win. No Area Locked behind any Paywalls, No Paid Loot Boxes and No Paid Gameplay Advantages. Full Circle are also taking cues from Apex Legends on how their monetization would go, moving forward.

The game will release on both last-gen and current generation of consoles, alongside PC (and maybe mobile in the future as well). But no release date just yet as they are working on it “until they are ready”.

But you can join their playtesting on the game here.
