Houston Texans to Add JJ Watt to Ring of Honor

The Houston Texans will add former star JJ Watt to their Ring of Honor on October 1 when the team plays the Pittsburgh Steelers. Houston announced the move in a video released on social media Monday.

Watt played for the Texans for 10 seasons from 2011-2020. He played the last three seasons of his career with the Arizona Cardinals. During his career, he won Defensive Player of the Year three times, made five Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams. Watt finished his career with 114.5 sacks, which ranks 34th all-time.

With the ceremony being held during their game against the Steelers, Watt will be able to accept the honor while watching his brother TJ suits up for the Steelers.
