Every entry in the Forza Horizon series has looked gorgeous, but Forza Horizon 5 is undoubted the prettiest yet.
It’s largely because its set in Mexico, which has everything from sandy dunes to lush forests. But then there’s also the fact that it’s the first Forza Horizon game to be released with next-gen Xbox consoles in mind. So, you’ll be happy to hear that Forza Horizon 5 has a photo mode which you can use pretty much anywhere and at any time. And you only have to press one button to access it.
To enter photo mode in Forza Horizon 5, all you have to do is press “up” on the d-pad. It’s as simple as that. Alternatively, you can pause the game and find the photo mode option on the myriad of menus, but why would you want to do that? Once you’re in photo mode, you’ll find that you’re able to move the camera with both the left and right analogue sticks to line up the perfect shot. The right and left triggers also help, allowing you to raise and lower the camera respectively.

There are plenty of options available in photo mode, too, allowing you to tweak your shots to your liking. You can reset the cosmetic damage on your vehicle, for example, and also change the focal distance. A range of effects can also be applied. Have a play around with all the options to see how they affect the image. That’s the best way to learn and master the photo mode of Forza Horizon 5.
When you’re ready to take your shot, you have two options. You can either press the A button to take your photo via the game, which will unfortunately add a watermark in one of the corners, or you can take a screenshot via your console. Both options have their merits.
