PC Game Pass Adds Five Bethesda Classics For Quakecon 2022

Surprise shadowdrop! Quakecon 2022 is taking place this weekend where Quake and various games by Bethesda get a spotlight in their own online event. And if you boot up PC Game Pass today, you’ll see some new Bethesda games that suddenly got added.

Five games published by Bethesda are being added to Game Pass. Unfortunately, these are all PC games, but it was from the era when multi-platform releases are a rarity.

From Bethesda Games Studios we got An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire and The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard. Battlespire is focused purely on first-person dungeon crawling whilst Redguard where you played a named protagonist in a third-person adventure. These Elder Scrolls spin-offs didn’t do well commercially back in the day, but at least now anyone with a Game Pass subscription can take a gander and see why.

And there’s the Wolfenstein series. The genesis of the first-person-shooter genre, Wolfenstein 3D by id Software, is now on Game Pass. And so is 2009’s Return To Castle Wolfenstein.

Lastly, and appropriately, Quake 4 is now on Game Pass as well.

The full list of new games now added to PC Game Pass after Quakecon 2022 are the following:

  • An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire
  • The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard
  • Wolfenstein 3D
  • Return To Castle Wolfenstein
  • Quake 4

With this and the recent additions to Game Pass earlier this week, that are a lot of new games being added to the subscription service, which may explain the many games that will be leaving the service at the end of this month.

With these five additions being games published by Bethesda, an Xbox Game Studios, these games will likely stick around on the service for quite a while, if not forever.
