Capcom’s upcoming fighting game Street Fighter 6 had a beta test previously, and it proved to be popular. Popular enough that there were instances where players resold beta access and even hacked the client to keep playing it in perpetuity (until the exploit was eventually patched out).
Thankfully, Capcom is ready for another round of beta testing.
The Street Fighter 6 Closed Beta Test 2 will take place on December 16-19. Those who managed to get in the first beta need not apply again, but for those who don’t applications are open again.
This second beta now adds an option to reduce input delay, helpful if you’re using a high-refresh monitor at 120Hz. There are various bug fixes and balance changes for the playable characters, which you can peruse in full here.
There is no new content being added in this second beta, so expect the same eight playable characters (Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri, Ken), the same stages and the same modes available. Which is already offering a lot for a three-day beta test.
Street Fighter 6 is set to release sometime in 2023 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S.
