Silent Hill Announcement Live Stream Coming This Week

For the first time in a long time, the Silent Hill Twitter account tweeted a thing that isn’t just Silent Hill merch, collabs with other video games or retweeting fan art.

Konami’s long-dormant survival horror series will have some updates to share during the Silent Hill Transmission. This is likely a stream.

The Silent Hill Transmission will be broadcasted on October 19, 2 PM PDT (October 20, 5 AM Malaysia Time, +8 GMT).

The official Silent Hill Twitter account, at the time of writing, has only 64 tweets since its inception in July 2020. None are about the actual Silent Hill games made by Konami. Even this announcement tweet doesn’t specify the updates are video game-related.

Still, various rumours and reports suggest that a new Silent Hill game is in the works. So here’s hoping it’s not a reveal of another skateboard deck, which is cool, but it’s not what you expect from a well-beloved series which had not had a new entry in a decade. And the last one was technically just a demo, P.T., that was later axed after the public fallout between Konami and developer Hideo Kojima, who went to make Death Stranding.
