The Steam Mobile App Gets Big Update

The Steam mobile app just got a big update that should make it more useful than it was before.

The Steam mobile app has made browsing the store from the phone much better, and you can use it to remote download your games to a connected PC.

There are now notifications, including for sales, which you can customise. and in terms of security, the Steam mobile app now has QR code sign-in. This lets you scan a QR code from a phone with the app to log in to Steam.

The app is much more usable now other than to have it there for Steam Guard- the two-factor authenticator. The overall performance is much better and it doesn’t default to opening the friends list anymore.

The Steam mobile app is now live on iOS and Android.
