Are you ready to rumble? Rumbleverse is a new free-to-play battle royale, but it’s not one of those. If you love fisticuffs, wrestling, and hand-to-hand brawling with the occasional melee weapons, this is the battle royale game for you.

Rumbleverse is developed by Iron Galaxy, most famously known for their work in continuing support of 2013’s Killer Instinct in its final years.

The game is published by Epic Games (and so it’s an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC), and it shows. Rumbleverse’s monetisation is what you expect from Fortnite, Rocket League and more recently Fall Guys. Free-to-play, a seasonal battle pass with a paid tier where most of the cosmetic unlocks resides, and if you pay for the premium track and unlock everything, you will have more than enough in-game currency to unlock the next season’s battle pass premium track.

Anyway, Rumbleverse will see you brawling in Grapital City where the loot is fighting game special moves and you can suplex people from the top of a ten-storey building. Last rumbler standing wins.

Rumbleverse includes Duos mode (2-player parties) and a training mode of sorts, Playground mode, where you can freely explore the city alone or with a buddy and find various training lessons.

Rumbleverse is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
