New Game Catalog Titles For PS Plus Extra – August 2022

PlayStation has revealed a slate of new games getting added to the Game Catalog, one of the perks for PS Plus Extra (and the higher tier Deluxe/Premium).

For August 2022, 11 games are being added to the Game Catalog, plus 1 more for the Southeast Asia region. The games will be added on August 16.

The headline additions are the trio of mainline Yakuza games. Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 are being added to the service. That’s the first half of six games where Kazuma Kiryu is the main protagonist. Or one of the main protagonists.

More games from Ubisoft are being added to the Game Catalog as well. Ghost Recon Wildlands, UNO, Monopoly Plus (the normal one) and Monopoly Madness (the relatively new, wacky release) are joining the catalog.

Players with friends with PS Plus Extra or above can also jump into Dead By Daylight, the asymmetrical 4v1 multiplayer horror game.

Square Enix is adding a good game into the Game Catalog with Trials Of Mana. The remake of the fantastic SNES game where you can pick from a cast of characters all with their own unique origin chapter, and it’s that game where a playable character speaks entirely in uwu. Twials Of Mana can be heard on the title screen, it’s great/a nightmare.

And for those that missed the game when it was offered as PS Plus Essential’s monthly games, you can now see what’s everybody talking about Bugsnax, the cute but sort-of-eerie adventure game where you go to an island filled with half-bug half-snack creatures.

For Southeast Asia, an extra game is being added in the form of Deliver Us The Moon. The game was made available on the Game Catalog in other regions previously, but now folks here can play that as well.
