OnePlus has launched a new limited edition of its flagship Nord 2 5G handset: a Pac-Man Edition. And, if you’re a fan of Bandai-Namco’s arcade classic, it’s a rather tempting combination.
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G is already a stellar smartphone, with specs that rival the very best. It sports 12GB RAM, 256GB built-in storage, a 50 MP triple camera, a 90Hz AMOLED display, and a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chipset. And priced under £500, it’s much cheaper than its rival handsets from Apple or Samsung.
The Pac-Man special edition, however, makes the phone even better. It features ‘gamified software’; OnePlus’ Oxygen operating system has been completely overhauled and filled with games, challenges and exclusive content. We’d also expect some exclusive Pac-Man wallpapers and themes to be in there, too.

The most eye-catching thing about the phone, though, is its rear cover. It features a “dual film design with phoshorescent ink” – in other words, it glows in the dark. By day, the handset has an understated design featuring a tiny yellow Pac-Man. By night, it shows off a luminous green maze inspired by the game.
Handsets are, of course, unlocked to any network, though if you want to make use of 5G, you’ll need to make sure your carrier and your plan support it.
