Partizan sign Balkan roster led by emi

KK Partizan have announced their entrance into the CS:GO scene, signing a majority-Balkan roster led by Serbian caller Luka “emi” Vuković. The team will field a mix of tenured and young talents, with the former CR4ZY coach surrounded by a quartet in their early twenties.

emi will lead the brand-new roster

emi has plenty of experience leading teams having spent time at the helm of squads such as Valiance, CR4ZY and FunPlus Phoenix, playing alongside the likes of Nemanja “nexa” Isaković, Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač and Pavle “Maden” Bošković. Most recently, emi was part of the ill-fated Coalesce roster.

Joining emi from his Coalesce days is Pere “sausol” Solsona Saumell. The Spaniard is another face that many may recognise, having been part of the MAD Lions roster that impressed during DreamHack Open November and BLAST Premier Fall Showdown last year, with the squad taking the scalps of teams like G2 and MOUZ.

Another exciting name joining the roster is Luka “c0llins” Živanović, who has steadily made a name for himself as one of the best Serbian players over the past year playing with the ex-4glory roster. Most recently he led the team to the Esports Adria Championship title, posting an event-leading 1.23 rating over 9 maps in the process.

Rounding out the squad are Bulgrian Kalin “KalubeR” Erenditsov, who has played for names like SKADE and most recently WinX, and Croatian sniper Marin “ROGA” Rogić, who was competing with MONAD prior to joining Partizan.

“Ambitions and goals are set very high, so we will work hard to achieve those results,” Dejan “BAXACHA” Atanacković, Head of CS:GO Operations, said in a statement. “The first thing we will play with the ESEA Advanced League are the European qualifiers for RMR and the regional qualifiers for BLAST Showdown. We want to be the best in the region, and then to be placed as high as possible in the world ranking.”

Jovan Mijailovic, Partizan’s Esports Chairman, went on to add: “The club’s idea is to enter esports and align ambitions with the basketball club. The goal of the esports section is to entertain a younger audience alongside attracting a sponsor pool which basketball can’t truly do.”
