The November 2021 PlayStation Plus games have been revealed

Sony has revealed the November 2021 PlayStation Plus games, and it’s a bumper crop of games this month, so long as you own a PSVR headset. This month’s collection includes three games for PS4, two of which are PS5 native, and three PSVR games to celebrate the 5th anniversary.

What are the free PlayStation Plus games for November 2021?

The games are as follows:

– ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW –

  • Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (PS4)
  • First Class Trouble (PS5, PS4)
  • Knockout City (PS5, PS4)
  • The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners (PSVR)
  • The Persistence (PSVR)
  • Until You Fall (PSVR)

That’s a lot of good gaming, and notably there’s no game limited to just the new generation console. Knockout City, First Class Trouble and Kingdoms of amalur are available until 6th December, while The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, Until You Fall and The Persistence will be available for two months until 3rd January.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a remaster of the cult classic PS3 and Xbox 360 era action RPG. Revitalised for current hardware, it casts you as The Fateless One in a fantasy world of predestination, able to choose your own path through the fantasy world.

In our Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning review, Aran said, “The world is as magical fantasy as you could get, and it really does draw you in, but some technical issues and a number of repetitive quests can dull the otherwise colourful experience.”

Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is free with PS Plus in November.

Alongside that is First Class Trouble, and asymmetric multiplayer social deduction game. Set in First Class in an opulent space cruise-liner, you have to co-operate with your other players while trying to figure out who you can trust and how to survive the AI uprising onboard.

And then we have Knockout City. Released back in May across PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, it’s a great mash-up of dodgeball and online multiplayer, blending the sensibilities of a cautious fighting game with a team shooter. The PS5 upgrade is landing next week and it’s that version of the game that will release into PlayStation Plus.

Turning to the PSVR extras that Sony are giving away to celebrate the system’s third anniversary, the headline act is The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. Easily one of the best realised and most intuitively interactive VR experiences, our initial review said: “The weight of the combat combined with the constant worry that the undead and the living both bring combine for an incredibly gratifying experience. Throw in crafting, the solid writing and meaningful quests and you’ve got a pretty special game on your hands.”

The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners PS VR

Saints & Sinners is a landmark VR game coming to PS Plus in November.

The Persistence is a roguelike horror game from Firesprite, the studio recently acquired by Sony. Though it’s been adapted since its original 2018 release to also play on flat screens, it seems as though this is only the PSVR version of the game. We gave it a great 8/10 back in 2018 saying its “atmosphere and hard hitting combat feel fantastic in VR.”

The Persistence VR

The Persistence comes from recently acquired Sony studio Firesprite.

Finally we have Until You Fall, a synthwave-infused PSVR sword fighting game with roguelike tendencies. You’ll move around to the synthwave soundtrack will attacking, blocking, casting spells and dodging into the neon fantasy world.

Can I still download the October 2021 PlayStation Plus Games?

Yes you can! The PlayStation Plus games for September are PGA Tour 2K21 and Mortal Kombat X for PlayStation 4, and Hell Let Loose as the PS5 bonus game.
