The Callisto Protocol, the upcoming sci-fi survival horror game by Striking Distance Studios is ready to launch this December. So ready that the launch trailer is out now.

The new trailer makes use of its star-studded cast. Player character Jacob Lee (played by Josh Duhamel) is seen crash landing on Callisto, one of Jupiter’s many moons and is transported into Black Iron Prison. While there, Jacob will meet Dani Nakamura (played by Karen Fukuhara) and Leon Ferris (played by Sam Witwer).

There’s some horrific stuff happening as you discover what The United Jupiter Company has been doing to cause the horrors on Callisto to happen.

The 2-minute trailer is less about selling you on the horror aspects of the game, which was shown in previous gameplay trailers. This one is more chill, thanks to the exclusive new song from Kings Elliot, Lost Again. Lost Again is a new song written exclusively for The Callisto Protocol.

There’s also a new episode of The Callisto Protocol: Helix Station, a podcast series that acts as a prequel to The Callisto Protocol. Episode five (of six) is out now and features the voice of Gwendoline Christie and Michael Ironside. You can find the podcast series here.

The Callisto Protocol’s development is led by Glen Schofield, one of the key people behind the sci-fi survival horror series Dead Space.

The Callisto Protocol will be out on December 2 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S.
