Foxhole, after five years in Early Access, hits version 1.0 today. Developed by Siegecamp, the persistent war MMO game has thousands of players go boots on the ground in a war effort that can last for weeks.

The game, played from the top-down perspective, is not all about the usual horrors of war where you kill and die some cause or duty. Foxhole also includes a ridiculously in-depth logistics system. Every weapon, ammo and vehicle used in the front lines must be built and supplied by players. So you can play the game dedicated on the “logi” side, ensuring the supply chain is up to speed and protected.

With version 1.0, dubbed the Inferno update, Foxhole adds trains, a staple of any game with some form of logistics, where players can build a whole railway network to transport key equipment like tanks over long distances faster. And for the soldiers at the frontlines, fire-based weaponry, including a flamethrower, has been added.

Foxhole is now available on PC via Steam, and a new war has just begun for the 1.00 release.
