Gran Turismo 7 July 2022 Update Adds Three New Cars

Another month, another free update with new content for Gran Turismo 7. For July 2022, update 1.19 will be adding three new cars to the racing game, but no new track like last month.

The three new cars come from very different eras. The newest of the trio is the Porsche 918 Spyder from 2013, the supercar was part of the holy trinity of supercars of the early 2010s, alongside the Ferrari LaFerrari (already in GT7) and McLaren P1 (the racing spec version is already in GT7, but not the stock version).

For something a bit more old school, here comes a Maserati (Maserati). The Maserati A6GCS/53 Spyder is a model from 1954 and was the winner of the 2014 Gran Turismo Trophy annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, for which series creator Kazunori Yamauchi is an honorary judge.

Expect to see more of the Gran Turismo Trophy winners to be present in GT7, a list can be found on this unofficial wiki here. The winners are quite the selection of olden gems (which means it’s going to be a grind fest to unlock due to its high price in-game).

Lastly, for another throwback (but not that way back), we’re getting the Nissan Skyline Super Silhouette Group 5. Originally appeared in GT2, the Tomica-branded Skyline with the wild appendages on the back that forms something unlike any regular rear wing you’d see in a modern car returns to GT7.
